Occupational Health & Safety Strategy (HSE)

Based on Modern Gas’s firm commitment to the principle of “Safety First”, we adopt an integrated strategy to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental protection (HSE) across all our operational areas. Our goal is to provide a risk-free working environment that fully complies with all legal requirements and international standards.
We continuously develop, implement, and monitor an effective management system for occupational health, safety, and environmental protection, focusing on the following key pillars:

• Proactive Management of Risks and Occupational Health
• To achieve high levels of prevention, we regularly implement the following procedures:
  Risk Assessment and Discussion: Overseeing systematic risk assessments for every site task and ensuring worker participation in reviewing these assessments to promote a full understanding of the hazards related to their work.
  Periodic Inspection and Review: Conducting regular inspections of all sites, equipment, and machinery to ensure their readiness and the safety of the work environment.
  Incident Management: Immediate and thorough investigation of incidents to identify root causes, determine corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence, and maintain comprehensive records of all incidents and related statistics.
  Injury and Occupational Disease Analysis: Comprehensive monitoring and analysis of workplace injuries to minimize occurrences and reduce occupational diseases.
  Emergency Response: Developing and updating emergency procedures and conducting regular drills and simulations to ensure readiness.
• Capacity Building and Safety Culture Promotion
• Safety culture is a shared responsibility, and to strengthen it, we:
  Awareness and Training Programs: Launch safety awareness campaigns across all company regions and train approximately 1,800 engineers and employees in specialized programs to build HSE management capabilities. Practical workshops are held to ensure clear understanding and application of new procedures.
  Provision of Protective Equipment: Provide high-quality, standard-compliant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all sites, tailored to the nature of work and specific operational needs.
• Environmental Protection and Waste Management
• To ensure environmental compliance and contribute to sustainability, we:
  Hazardous Waste Management: Implement a comprehensive system for managing resources and hazardous waste generated by company activities, and ensure compliance with the licensing requirements of government environmental regulations.
  Legal Compliance: Prepare and submit the required environmental records for stations and worksites in full compliance with environmental laws and executive regulations.
  Environmental Quality Monitoring: Monitor pollution and air quality through regular, documented environmental measurements.
